25 years of fleet solutions

When Carano was founded 25 years ago, the company was years from digitalization. At the time there was a trailblazing spirit in the development of digital processes. Since then, an incredible amount has happened socially and technologically. Within a span of less than 30 years, we have made it from an underdog to industry leader. Our path began with projects at the auto inspection agency DEKRA and the German Rail. Today we provide companies a wide range of software for the efficient, networked control of their fleets. In today’s world, innovation does not emerge in isolation – the building blocks are simply too complex and diverse.

New value chain forms are called for. To this end we are networking with strong partners. This enables us to play a central role in shaping the digitalization of the fleet industry. Whether it be agile development, new service concepts, such as software-as-a-service (SaaS), integration of telematics, big data and e-mobility – Carano is in the forefront of optimal IT solutions for fleet management and mobility, then as now. Fleet managers today have a great array of options. We are here to assist you in the digital transformation of your fleet processes.

Our experts explain what has been happening in recent years and what challenges they see for the current fleet industry.

“Our technical know-how and the broad range of our services have proved to be growth turbos for the development of our company. Last year alone, we increased our turnover by almost 50 percent”.

Matthias von Tippelskirch, Managing Director
Hans-Joachim Guth, Sales and Service Manager

“When it comes to fleet management, we have from the outset relied on networking players in the fleet market in order to optimize processes. Today networking is pervasive. We have never abandoned our trailblazing spirit and especially in times when new solutions are needed, we are there.”

Hans-Joachim Guth, Sales and Service Manager
Norman Natzke, Head of Production

“Big data and artificial intelligence are the buzzwords these days. With the help of these technologies, added value can be achieved in fleets to an ever greater degree. Areas of application include preventive maintenance, geofencing and purchasing pattern recognition, to name but a few”.

Norman Natzke, Head of Production
