Save resources using cloud technology
External data storage increasingly popular
Berlin, September 20th, 2012: Cloud Computing is "the biggest opportunity and the biggest challenge for the software industry", says Karl-Heinz Streibich, president of BITKOM, Germany's Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media. Data is not stored locally, but instead transfered via the internet to external servers.
Similar to a cloud visible from various locations, cloud services offer the ability to access data on the go and from various company departments or branches.
Purchasing servers is unnecessary, as the data is stored on external servers. Carano offers solutions on this Software as a Service (SaaS) basis, such as the fleet software Fleet+ and the procurement solution Easy+.
The total turnover of Cloud Computing in Germany was around 3.6 billion Euros in 2011, and will likely increase to 5.3 billion by 2012. A great amount of turnover is produced in business clouds (b2b) and will likely gain in importance over the next years.
